Fighting MisInformation | Stargate Project

The high-minded man must care more for the truth than for what people think

(Aristotle, N.D.)

The Stargate Project was a multimillion-dollar research endeavor that began during the Cold War in which the US Army served as the main entity that funded researchers and to a much smaller extent the CIA also contributed to the funding in order to explore the mind’s potential neuro exceptional capabilities.

Capabilities such as telepathy, precognition, and remote viewing which is the ability to view a place and time remotely without actually being there were the focus of the research.

The Stargate project was comprised of two specific programs. One researched the capabilities of the mind, and the other, focused on applying these abilities to spy on foreign adversaries. If one was to google CIA remote viewing on any social media platform, numerous videos will pop up.

Depending on the content creator’s personal beliefs, the narrative of the story changes for the audience to confirm their bias for or against the psi phenomenon. While it may make a person feel validated, it is still biased. In order to gain truth on the matter, one must look at the case as if it were put on trial before a jury of their peers. Listen to the testimonies of the researchers and look at the experimental data. It is only then that one can draw an honest conclusion.

In 1995, Jessica Utts, a professor of statistics, along with well-known paranormal skeptic, Ray Hyman, were employed by the American Institute of Research at the request of Congress and the CIA to provide a report assessing the statistical evidence for psychic functioning within active U.S. government-sponsored research.

These experts both agreed that the U.S. government’s research program had produced statistically significant results, but they disagreed about how to interpret those results.
